The Blue Ridge Civil War Round Table was formed three years ago to encourage discussion about Civil War history, and especially to encourage research and participation in local Civil War issues and sites.
Jack Price graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.A. in U.S. history. He served in the U.S. Air Force with a tour of duty in Southeast Asia. He retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs after a 30-year career. His last position there was as Director of Field Human Resource Management Policy and Operations for the V.A. hospital system.
For the past three years he has been the head softball coach at Culpeper County High School and was named Free Lance Star Coach of the Year in 2001.
He also serves as Service Officer for American Legion Post 330, volunteer at the Museum of Culpeper History helping with its Native American programs, and as a trail overseer for the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club.
