In other racing at Old Dominion, Pennsylvania trainer Bruce Miller greeted three winners, including Michael Hoffman’s Pelagos in the open hurdle. The gray gelding aims to defend his title in the $100,000 Iroquois hurdle stakes, grade I, in four weeks, Miller said. Miller also trained two winners for Rappahannock County’s own Clorevia Farm, Say The Word in the novice hurdle and Udeman in a division of the flat race.
Middleburg trainer Don Yovanovich added two more wins to his commanding lead on Virginia’s spring circuit. His Ponsonby added another ladies’ timber score, with his Two Wire taking the other flat division.
