The Technology Festival was held on Saturday. Teachers from around the nation brought project ideas and teaching tips to share with each other. This forum allowed for networking to make new contacts and renew old friends.
NASA took most of the rest of the day, with workshops on robonautics — humans and robots. NASA also presented a session on getting satellite imagery in the classroom, and Vickers became familiar with different types of remotely sensed data and its many practical uses in a classroom environment. J
“I d love to go to the conference next year in Kansas City to be a presenter,” said Vickers of his experience. “I learned the process to do this, and hope to get accepted.”
