Dogwoods and redbuds ordered through the VPI extension office will arrive on April 5. Trees maybe picked up at the extension office next door to the court house. Ruby Jenkins reports that an extra 25 white dogwoods will be available. Rappahannock High School students with parts in the musical comedy “My Fair lady” are in a tizzy trying to find a cime for butterflies of the stomach before performances scheduled this Friday and Saturday, April 6 and April 7. Among those participating are Kenny Eline, Marian Eastham, Susan Dennis, Johanna Day, Brian Fitzek, Liz Freeman, Rusty Settle, Jean McKay and Tbny Armentrout. Hubert S. Gilkey declared his candidacy this week for supervisor from Wakefield District in the upcoming November election. Gilkey, a resident of Chester Gap for 19 years,is a building contractor. He graduated from the Warren county High School in 1959 and is married to the former Maybelle Williams of Chester Gap.
