Gray Ghost Vineyards 2002 Adieu received the “Best of the East” award presented by Vineyard and Winery Management magazine, a national wine industry publication.
’ The presentation ceremony took place March 17 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at the annual Wineries Unlimited Conference.
A1 and Cheryl Kellert, coowners and winemakers at the Amissville vineyard, accepted the award from Richard Leahy, program director of Wineries Unlimited.
“The Adieu is a very elegant example of the finesse you can achieve with late harvest Vidal,” said Leahy. “It’s nice to have the Best of the East to recognize the outstanding quality achieved outside of California.”
He added, “It is a refined and elegant dessert wine that can be enjoyed and savored by itself. It truly tastes like a wine that won ‘Best of the East.7”
