Distribution rescheduled

The distribution of American Chestnut seedlings by the Rappahannock Lions Clb, originally scheduled for last Saturday,will take place this Saturday, April 10. beginning at 7 a.m. at the Rappahannock Co-op. A donation of $2 per tree is requested, with a limit of 10 trees per person.

Fund raiser planned

The Rappahannock Major League Girls Softball Team, sponsored by Settle’s Excavating will hold a benefit car wash and bake sale Saturday, April 10 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the 211 Quicke Mart, Washington.

All proceeds from this event will go toward the purchase of a concession stand for our field. If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation, contact Theresa Settle at 937-4352 or Sharon Dodson at 987-8368 or Marlena Lee at 937-6035.

'Eggstravaganza ’ at Farfelu

Farfelu Vineyards will host an Easter “Eggstravaganza" on April 10-11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

There will be Easter eggs in the meadow for children, and the Frenchman’s Corner will be on site offering samples of Neuhaus Belgian chocolates.

RAAC going to Corcoran

RAAC is offering a trip to the Corcoran Gallery, Washington, D.C., to see the exhibit, “The Quilts of Gee Bend.” Cost is $15 for members of RAAC, $20 for non-members, plus $5 admission to the gallery. For reservations, call Claudia Mitchell at 675-2146.

Musicians to perform
