er), but we have ants under our rocks, and boy does momma bear love ants! Those rocks are way more than I can lift and took hours to lever into place in carefully dug holes up on our steeply sloped flower garden. Some mornings lately I have found several of the boulders at the bottom of our hill, a few feet from the front porch. ...Drat! I used to think that the best place for ants (and other bugs) was under rocks. Not with bears around!
We love our bears and they have never gotten into any real trouble here, unless you count tearing the siding off the house. But their antics (i.e., constant search for something nutritious, or even just tasty)
