Arts and Crafts Camp

Arts and Crafts Camp gives children the opportunity to spend a week working on unique projects with a professional artist and percussionist Janet Kerig. The camp is held at the Pavilion located at the Rappahannock County Park across from Little Washington on U.S. 211. The emphasis is on creativity, fun, games and the great outdoors! The multi-media experience includes: tie dye, basket weaving, paper making from plants, watercolor painting, sketching, beadwork, beeswax candlemaking, Cherokee plant prints on scarves, plant identification, nature walks and drumming! The goal of the camp is for children to express themselves freely and to provide an atmosphere that nurtures the young artist, improves their hand skills and gives them the techniques to improve their sense of color, form and materials.
