AASBD runs several divisions of cars, for kids from eight to seventeen years of age. The Soap Box Derby of Culpeper runs the Stock and Master Stock divisions. In both of these, the cars arrive in kits which the kids must assemble. Our team’s car is Master Stock, which takes more time and work to assemble than Stock. Master Stock also allows larger and heavier drivers (up to 150 lbs.) and, unlike Stock, the team may paint the vehicle.
