Fueled by jealousy
These two play in a band named after their own jealousy of success, and they don’t want to feel jealous for much longer.
“We were going crazy watching all these loser bands playing on MTV while we’re still trying to chase this thing down,” said Lambert of the band’s name.
And they are chasing it.
Since they formed last summer, Envy Insane has become a regular act at Jaxx, a Springfield nightclub, and has performed in other clubs and parties throughout the area
They’ve opened for nationally known acts like Drowning Pool, and their first ever concert was played in front of thousands of fans on New Year’s Day.
“Our fans are filling up places now,” said Paolicelli
Recently, Envy Insane got their biggest opportunity yet.
On Tuesday, August 15, Envy Insane performed at the historic L.A. rock club; the Whiskey a Go-Go. The Whiskey’s stage is one of the iconic sites of rock and roll history, a starting point for legendary bands like The Doors and The Misfits. It was a big chance for the little band that got its start in Rappahannock, and Envy Insane made the most of it.
“We went in there and showed them how Virginia does it,” said Paolicelli.
