Envy Insane stays sharp by practicing a discipline that shows in Envy Insane’s three hour practice sessions, and their singular drive to make it. AD of the band’s earnings from their playing gigs go into a pool that is used to invest in the bands success. All the band members have day jobs, so they can use the band money on the band.
“We don’t do a show if it won’t help us somehow, get us somewhere,” said PaobcelD. The group is kept on a steady course by Angie, John Paul’s wife and the band’s impromptu road manager.
“We call her the ticket-nazi” says Lambert, affectionately. Angie Paolicelli makes sure the band gets to shows, sells their tshirts.
“She gets on us, she’s like the band mom,” said Paolicelli.
In order to fund their trip to L.A. to play the Whiskey, the band held a “Envy Insane goes to Hollywood” fund raising concert at Jaxx on August 11.
“After aD, we gotta eat once we get there . . ” explained the band’s website. The concert was a success, and Envy Insane’s fans turned out in droves to support the band.
“Those guys aren’t our fans, they’re our friends,” said Paolicelli. After playing the Whiskey, Paolicelli felt like the band had taken a big step up.
“It’s really starting to blow up for us,” said PaolicelD.
