Principal to replace Ms. Tupper, and Mike Tupper from RCHS Assistant Principal to replace Myers. Rappahannock and JMU graduate Carol Johnson was chosen from a strong field of applicants to replace Covington as RCES Principal. A team of RCES teachers and administrators interviewed Assistant Principal candidates. Subsequently the Board appointed Andy Hippie to the position of RCES Assistant Principal. RCHS Principal Roger Mello and I recommended to the Board that Robyn Puryear be appointed RCHS Assistant Principal / Cambridge Coordinator, which allowed us to finalize administrative appointments for the 20062007 school year by mid-July so that all could start working to prepare for the opening of school.
We have also taken a lot of time this summer planning another year of educational and support services for the most important people in RappahannockCounty, the children who attend our schools. The principals and support staff have been busy setting schedules and staff
