Troop 36 nearly won the camp wide triathloiVrelay race - The Ironman - with a time of six minutes, twenty eight seconds, just one second behind the winning troop. The race consists of three separate sprints, a two-man canoe paddle across the lake, a swim, followed by a randomly selected knot tying finale’. The troop was encouraged by their performance and resolved to win the contest next year.
Interspersed during days full of games, meals and camping activity were sessions covering many of the approximately 121 different subjects covered in the Boy Scouts of America merit badge program. Troop 36 earned over 60 merit badges during their two weeks in camp including the following subjects: Archery, Art, Athletics, Citizenship in the World, Climbing, Communications, Cooking, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Science, Fingerprinting, First Aid, Fish and Wildlife Conservation, Geology, Indian Lore, Leather work, Lifesaving, Personal Fitness, Pottery, Radio, Rifle Shooting, Shotgun Shooting, Soil and Water Conservation, Space Exploration,
