In reviewing the results of the recent exams, WCDS Head of School Kathleen Grove observed that, “Taking on AP classes in the prep school years can help students tangibly demonstrate to potential colleges their willingness to challenge themselves and study subjects in greater depth. Mrs. Grove stated her strong belief that enrolling in Advanced Placement classes can serve “not only to enhance students’ writing skills and problem-solving abilities, but also to promote the development of study habits critical for success in the rigorous course work covered during college years. I admire the way our teachers work as instructors and coaches to prepare our students for these challenging exams assessed by outside and objective experts.”
The College Board offers exams for 37 courses across 22 subject areas and getting a “head start on college-level work.”
