August 27: Norman Reunion
The annual Norman Reunion will be held on Sunday, August 27, at the Rappahannock Park on U.S. 211 in Washington. A picnic lunch will be served at the pavilion “rain or shine” at 1 p.m. All relatives and friends are invited to attend. Please bring a covered dish and a beverage. Plates, cups and plastic utensils will be provided. This event only happens one year, so please bring the whole family for a relaxing afternoon of great food, fun and friendship. August 30: Thrift Shop sale
There will be a $5 bag sale on Wednesday, August 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Thrift shop in Washington. For information, call Jean Alther at 6753844.
Summer Camps at Belle Meade
Belle Meade Day Camp located at 353 F.T. Valley Road in Sperryville will be offering summer fun for boys and girls 6-13. They have one two-week session remaining: August 14-25. Camp activities include swimming, canoing, hiking, arts and crafts, archery, informal sports. Belle Meade Swim Camp also has a one-week session remaining: August 28 - September 1 for ages 4-8.
