duty assignments, ordering supplies, and making other preparations. New Executive Director of HR and Instruction Dave Covington has worked with the principals and interview teams to select what we feel will be outstanding Teachers, coaches, and support staff to replace those who have retired or moved.
There are a couple of new programs for our students. The Mountain Vista Governor’s School for Math, Science and Technology was designed by school personnel for students from seven counties and cities in northwestern Virginia. Students will attend classes at LFCC in the morning and at their own high schools in the afternoon.
Four RCHS juniors and seniors will attend the MVGS at the LFCC Fauquier campus starting August 28. Also, there are plans to offer Latin for perhaps the first time in the RCPS.
Thanks to a couple of anonymous donors, one of which was arranged by the Headwaters Foundation, the RCPS plans to offer the pilot Latin program at both schools this year. At RCES 6th and
