The Lady Panther Volleyball team finished up on Tuesday beating the George Mason Mustangs for the second time in two weeks by 3-0. “I would definitely say that Mason was the best team that we have played this year,” said Head Volleyball Varsity Coach Jared Nieters.
Mason’s strength lies in their strong hitting ability. Nieters said that he had spent practice time before the game focusing on passing the ball, recovering from hard hits.
On the September 14 game against George Mason High School, the team won 30, although the opening match scores were very close.
The Panthers squeaked by the Mustangs in the first match with a score of 26-21. “It was the best George Mason team that I have ever seen in the five years that I have coached,” said Nieters at the time.
