Piedmont’s
choice
While we still have to get through Halloween, we’re coming up on election month and with that Piedmont voters will be choosing who will represent their district on the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors. There are three choices and all of them offer a different brand of leadership. It would be a refreshing change if the voters decided on who they felt would be the “best” choice for this position rather than because this person is related to a previous supervisor, has lived in the county a very long time or has- garnered the support of various vocal groups in the county. The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection is hosting a candidate debate on October 17 at the high school. If you live in the Piedmont District and you’ve already made up your mind, you should come. If you live in the Piedmont District and you’re undecided, you should definitely come. If you five in Rappahannock County and you care about its future, you should come. These choices have county-wide consequences. Shouldn’t you be involved?
