Tax Credit Seminar
On Sunday, October 22, at 2 p. m. at the Washington Town Hall. Would you like to lower your Virginia taxes? A panel of experts will discuss how to buy and sell tax credits related to conservation easements. If you are an easement donor looking to sell tax credits, come and meet some buyers.

October 27: Fairy Tale Walk
Hearthstone School will hold its annual Fairy Tale Walk on the lower school grounds starting at 7 p.m. This is a favorite annual event, as parents, students and friends reenact fairy tales to the delight of the audience, which is led through the darkening twilight to each performance area, lit up by candles, lanterns and lights. Treats are provided for the children. This is a wonderful fall evening, and a fun and safe way to celebrate Halloween. All members of the community are welcome to attend and the Fairy Tale walk is free of charge. Please call the school office at 540-987-9212 for additional information.

Fire and Rescue Yard Sales
The Washington Fire and Rescue will have a yard sale on October 28 starting from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. Come out and support your local fire and rescue department with their annual yard sale. If you have any items to donate please call them at (540) 675-3615 for pick and drop offs.
November 4-5:
Artists of Rappahannock
Studio and Gallery Tour
This year will mark the second annual event which drew over a 1,000 visitors last year. A food court has been added to this year’s venue. Stop by the Washington Fire Hall, pick up your map and head out to discover or rediscover your favorite artist. The event will be held on November 4 and 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine. A suggested $10 donation per person will be used to support the work of the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community. November 5: 4-H Chili
Cook-Off Bluegrass Festival
There will be a 4-H Chili Cook-Off Bluegrass Festival at Rappahannock County High School on Sunday, November 5th from 2 p. m. to 6:30 p. m. Performing will be Cliff Waldron and the New Shades of Grass, Shenandoah Travelers, Debbie Zinn and Natural Grass.
