- A neighborhood zoning debate between pro-business and conservation-minded residents along Ben Venue Road was settled Monday by the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors.
The board unanimously approved Greg Williams’ special-exception permit to continue operating his tree service, landscaping and snow removal business on the property near Flint Hill.
An overflow crowd spilled down the stairs leading up to the courtroom as the audience squeezed in to hear the supervisors’ decision.
The board approved the permit with several conditions that Williams had suggested. He will operate with limits on hours of operation, storage of vehicles and materials, parking, building placement, building materials and the number of employees allowed on site.
Williams’ attorney Frank Reynolds emphasized that his client had tailored the permit application to address neighbors’ concerns.
