Welch also pointed out that Williams was willing to concede to a long list of conditions limiting his use of the 6-acre lot.
“I have never seen so many restrictions on a property,” Welch said.
Some members of the audience had brought up comparisons to B&S Site Development, which last winter was denied a special-exception permit to run a contractor’s yard on Seven Ponds Road in Amissville. Both areas are zoned agricultural.
The difference, Welch said, is that Seven Ponds Road is, for all practical purposed/ residential in character and Ben * Venue . Road is agricultural Welch also said he sees Williams’ business as an extension of farming.
“I don’t see any legal grounds for denying this application,” Welch concluded.
Welch made the motion to approve Williams’ permit and the other supervisors unanimously agreed.
