That’s not so easy, Williams answered.

Commercial property is not as plentiful in Rappahannock as some people seem to think it is, he said. Williams looked into the possibility of moving his operation to a commercially zoned area, but the cost would have forced him to move his business out of the county.

“I wish Greg well in his business, but I wish he’d conduct it elsewhere,” said Holly Probst, who lives across Ben Venue Road from Williams.

Because Williams has his mulch trucked to his property from other locations, she challenged the assertion that he is running an agricultural operation.
