any other state. The Virginia Civil War Trails program marks both the famous and the lesser known locations that were important during the war.
The trails consist of nearly 400 stops in five interconnected driving tours. All five counties that border Rappahannock already have sites included in the system.
A time line for implementing the project will be decided in the fall.
