There is a great possibility that some folks living in our area attended Culpeper High School graduation with the class of 1982. If so the committee planning for a reunion is trying to contact each class member of 25 years ago. Interested classmates, former teachers and school personnel will be extended an invitation to the reunion, being planned for early fall and will meet at Germanna Tech Center. If you haven’t already, call Cindy Leake Curtess at 540399-1611.
Belated birthday wishes go out to my brother, Ray Frazier, who added a year on Friday, and Thursday Paul Butler celebrated. May our Lord grant each of you many more years.
While we’re on the subject of schools, in case some of you have not heard, the new Eastern View High School under construction in Culpeper, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2008, with Roger Mello, the principal of Rappahannock High for the past five years will be taking over as principal at EVHS, where most likely some of our area young people will be attending.
Our community extends heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Margaret Smith Carder and family upon the loss of her husband, Wallace, who passed awqy last week. Mrs. Corder is a native Bostonian, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Smith. Also condolences go out to Mr. Stephen Tuel of Reva Way and all the family connections upon the loss of his mother, Mrs. Jimmie (Bonnie) Tuel who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, at Fauquier Hospital.
In Father’s Day activities at the Black Oak Regular Baptist Church, Milton Keller was chosen “father of the year” and congratulations are extended.
Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier of Castleton Ford Road were Tuesday luncheon guests of his sister, Mrs. Marie Atkins on Acorn Brook Lane.
