The Board approved the low bid from Holtzman Oil to begin using biodiesel in school buses. RCPS have a $3,000 grant from the Virginia Soybean Association to help with the conversion to biodiesel.
- The Board approved the superintendent’s recommendation to purchase a voice-overIntemet telephone system to enable all classrooms to contact the office in an emergency.
- Note: The regular July School Board meeting has been rescheduled from Tuesday to Wednesday so the board members may attend the Governor's Conference on Education on Tuesday.

Group A schools
RCHS ranked 38th of 95 Group A schools in the Wachovia Cup Competition, according to the Virginia High School League Web site.
This was earned on the basis of the Panther volleyball team participating in the state championship game. Individual titles like Conner Miller's state title in wrestling unfortunately do not contribute to the standings.
