Nova Southeastern University and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in Guidance and Counseling.
She retired in North Carolina after 30 years of service. She served as Director of Human Resources in the Rowan-Salisbury Schools, as elementary principal at schools in Stokes County and Asheboro City. She also served as an assistant principal, guidance counselor and as a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher.
Greer served as a lecturer and principal’s internship supervisor at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She also holds a North Carolina Superintendent’s license.
“Becky Greer comes to the RCPS with outstanding experience as an educator,” Chappell said in a statement. “We are excited about the contributions she will make to the educational services we provide for students and their families.”
Note: Employees, Rappahannock County officials and Rappahannock citizens are invited to meet Dr. Greer at a reception in her honor scheduled from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the School Board Office, located at 6 Schoolhouse Road, off of U.S. 211 near the Town of Washington.
