Tyler Williams led Rappahannock on offense with three receptions for 45 yards. Junior wide receiver Dean Hogan had two catches for 29 yards.
The Panthers finished the season with a 2-8 record overall and an 0-5 mark in the Bull Run District. The win bumped the Cougars record up to 4-6 overall and 2-3 in the district.
Season over
The 2007 campaign was the best season in the short, three-year history of Rappahannock’s football program. The Panthers had won a total of two games in their previous two seasons, and both wins were versus Chincoteague.
Rappahannock beat Timber Ridge and Chincoteague in back-to-back weeks this year and came within a touchdown of beating Hancock and Luray.
