You Can "Make a Difference”
Do you want to give back to your community this holiday season? Do you feel blessed to have so much and want to share your blessings? The RSVP program (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) is wanting to ‘Make A Difference* in the lives of - seniors in our community. During the month of November, large brightly wrapped collection boxes wiH be in place around the county in which to deposit non-perishable items. Haddeys Country Store in Amissville, 211 Quicke Mart in Washington, the Rappahannock Library, the Rappahannock Coop, Settle's in Hint Hill and the SperryviHe Coiner Store will house the boxes. We are asking for donations of all sorts to box 14} and deliver to county seniors, including groceries, toiletries, and miscellaneous items that would help out and ‘Make a Difference.* For information call 540-675-2615.
Holiday Food Drive at
Gray Ghost Vineyards
Gray Ghost is sponsoring a holiday food drive to benefit the Culpeper Food Closet. All non-perishable food and monetary donations qualify you for a chawing to receive free tickets to one of Gray Ghost’s popular events! Winners will be contacted by phone and the tickets wiH be mailed. Gray Ghost is located at 14706 Lee Highway in Amissvie and can be contacted at 540-937-4869.

Nov 15: Spay and Neuter Program
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), in collaboration with the Shenandoah Valley Spay and Neuter Clinic, continues monthly trips to fix pets. Under this new program, costs of “fixing” pets are reduced dramatically. Line up your dog or cat for one of the van trips to Harrisonburg and pay far less than usual for this service. Owners register and pay in person in advance at the RAWL shelter in Amissville. First come, first served. For further information, call the shelter at 540-937-3283 any time between 8 a.m. and 1 p. m. seven days a week. Yes, you can reach someone every morning.
