Department, Michelle Jenkins and her indomitable group of friends are once again turning their talents to fund raising A dinner and silent auction will raise scholarship funds in honor of Michelle and John’s son, Johnny, whose 12 years of life are celebrated by offering us all an opportunity to give to others. This Second Annual Memorial fund raiser also recognizes the challenges faced by all families with physically and emotionally handicapped children. The energy needed to meet the needs of special children takes an often unseen toll on parents and siblings. However, as exemplified by the Jenkins family raising a child with developmental challenges also develops a sense a£ altruism and caring that transforms pain into action.
The auction list contains a wide variety of items including a picture by Sara Schneidman, mid-Eastern jewelry set, tool bucket bag, dinner gift certificates at Thornton River f»r»ll«> and Hazel River Pub, wrench set, handmade furniture, quilts and much more.
