hannock County resident and a member of Hospice of the Rapidan’s Board of Director’s presented the book to David Shaffer, Director of the Rappahannock County Library in Washington. Ms. Getsinger said she became associated with Hospice of the Rapidan to help educate community residents about what a medical hospice is. She commented “I still believe there are many who do not understand the scope of care hospice can provide and that this care is available not just for the patient but the entire family. When hospice is needed it is often brought in too late and I would like to see this change, the care is all about comfort and support”.
