Culpeper Art Fair
Set For Sept 14
The second annual Culpeper Art Fair will be held Saturday, September 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the Culpeper Courthouse lawn. In case of rain, the fair will be held In die Fire Hall, Just across the street from the Courthouse. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the new Culpeper Library, now under construction.
Adieus and juniors (preschool through high school) are invited to exhibit original works of art. Classes include Oils (mixed media not covered by glass, encaustic, casein, and collage), watercolors (pastels and mixed media covered with glass), Oriental sumi-e, drawings and prints, and photography. Guest artists will exhibit and demonstrate arts and crafts throughout the day. Paintings will be offered for sale, with 20 per cent of sales going to the Library. First, second and third place ribbons will be presented to both adults and juniors in all classes, and honorable mentions will also be.selected by the judges.
