Additional ■ materials will be available through the State Game Wardens. The theme of this year's contest emphasizes the fact that conservation is a personal philosophy as well as a mass movement. Essays must be between 500 and 750 words. Winners are picked on the basis of coverage of the subject, originality, ideas expressed, proper use of reference material, neatness and grammar. .This year’s top prize will be an $800 scholarship to the ' school of the winner’s choice Eight smaller prizes are awarded to each grade and other lesser awards are -apportioned on.the basis of the number of entries. The contest is endorsed by the Virginia Resource-Use Education Council, the Virginia Board of Education and the Resource-Use Committee of the Virginia Academy of Science.
