Mrs. Joseph Powers and children, Linda, Kathy, Mark and Pat; Mrs, Power's mother Mrs. John Hlxon of Culpeper and her aunt, Mrs. H. B. Pope of Washington, D. C. were in Martlnsburg, W. Va. last Sunday to visit John Hlxon at the Veterans Hospital. On Aug. 28 Mr. and Mrs. Powers and five children attended the Woodstock Co. Fair In the Shenandoah Valley.' . C. M. Gaines, Jr. returned home on Sunday with his mother, Mrs. C. M. Gaines from Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. He underwent foot surgery1 Wednesday a week- ago and returned thiB Wednesday to the hospital for a check up. He is doing well. His sister, Linda Gaines remained with her aunt, Mrs. Bob Weaver of Etlan while Mrs. Gaines stayed at the hospital.
