The Women’s World of the 1963 State Fair of Virginia, to be held in Richmond September 20-28, will feature three national contests in needlework and sewing competition, according to an announcement by Mrs. Jose-i i PWne M, -Sheppeirson,' the Fairla Secretary. ,, t <,: / K Two of these contests are completely new. One is the "National Wool Needlework ^Contest’’ in which cash awards are offered for five different articles in two categories, knitting and crocheting. Another is the "Make It Yourself With Wool’’ Contest which includes dresses, coats and suits made of wool and is open to Junior and Senior Contes-* tants from 14 to 21 years only. The third is the "Cotton Bag Sewing Contest" which has been an outstanding event at the State Fair of Virginia for a number of years.
