The optional, relectorized tags are valid for five years, until December 31, 1981, and will be displayed by passenger car owners in lieu of the regular blue-onwhite plates. Purchasers pay a one-time $5 fee, plus normal annual registration fees. Assigned decal renewal months will be retained.
The standard Bicentennial issue is in numbered sequence only, beginning with 100,001. Present alpha-numeric combinations on the regular blue-on-white plates are not being reproduced. However, license numbers in the reserved category, requiring an additional $10 annual fee, may be ordered in the Bicentennial series.
