Three single-vehicle wrecks were reported last week in Rappahannock, one the result of a tire lying in the highway. Joe Foder of Laurel, Md. struck a spare tire which had fallen from beneath a truck on Route 211 east of BenVenue November 26. Damage to Foder’s vehicle, a 1975 Lincoln, was estimated at $200 by Trooper J. A. Watson.

R. Kenneth Holtzman of Luray driving a 67 Plymouth on Route 211 November 27 east of Panorama, ran off the road and down an embankment into a culvert. He was cited for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving by Trooper Watson.
