WOOD predicted the Water and Sanitation Authority would have to condemn land on which to build the treatment plant. That bothered him. Since the county Supervisors are applying for this grant, they could be the object of a suit brought by anyone who fought the condemnation of their land.
But engineer George Long assured him the collection system would inspire no suits, and the HUD funds would only be used for that part of the project.
