ONLY six more days until Christmas vacation...and I know the R.C.H.S. students are counting each one of them! This year’s school calendar has provided for an extra long vacation. The holidays will begin December 19 and students will return to school January 5. Can it be that the year is almost over already?
You might want to make a special note to remember that our R.C.H.S. choir, led by Mrs. Judy Bomberger will be taking part in a special Christmas service Sunday, December 14 at the Washington Baptist Church at 11 a.m. All are welcomed and from hearing the choir, I know it will be a service well worth attending.
Our annual staff has been working hard preparing for its first deadline which is coming up soon. The photographer was at school Tuesday taking some group pictures. Other staff members have been working on class section layouts.
The National Honor Society is planning a couple of Christmas projects before we let out for the holidays. They will be making cards to go with some small presents for some of our elderly in the Culpeper Nursing Home and 1 will also be preparing some food boxes for several local families.
We want to extend special congratulations to Shelia Fritts who has been named the D.A.R. Good Citizen. The Senior Class votes on the girl or boy whom they feel has displayed qualities of dependability, leadership, service and , patriotism.
