Mark Chartier of Washington is one of the first applicants accepted for Officer’s Candidate School from outside the Army since the ban was recently lifted on such candidates. After receiving his B. S. degree in psychology from Georgetown University, he found his talents underutilized as a research analyst. He will take seven weeks of basic training and 14 weeks of OCS and be commissioned a Second Lieutenant. He is married to the former Katherine Skowronski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Skowronski.
