AMERICAN Red Cross activities in Rappahannock and Fauquier Counties are supervised by aboard of directors of the Fauquier chapter, American National Red Cross. .General Hugh M. Exton recently became a Rappahannock County representative on this Board.
Despite the widespread publicity accorded to the American Red Cross, there are probably many people who are not fully aware of what the Red Cross can do for them in their own specific situations, said Gen. Exton. Over the years, communities have been inundated with many agencies of the Federal, State, and local governments designed to help people in a wide range of problems and activities. Yet, there still remain areas where the Red Cross is uniquely qualified to assist. So, here briefly are some of the areas which may be of specific interest to some residents of Rappahannock County.
Assistance to Military Families—This assistance is available to men or women on active duty residing in the county with their families and commuting to work at military installations.
