An era of good feeling between the Rappahannock School Board members and county teachers is on the way back if last Thursday’s special Board meeting was any indication of things to come.
Tentative approval of next year’s Title I program was almost incidental to the relaxed give-and-take of discussions on the intricacies of federal funding, upcoming competency testing and possible changes in the primary reading program.
Approval of the proposed Title I budget was the only item on the agenda, but Chairman Beverly Massie allowed time for Rappahannock Education Association president Don Bomberger to read a prepared statement.
Bomberger reported that fhe teachers had decided to initiate an effort to inform the School Board members of improvements the teachers
