An ordinance banning the transporting, possessing or carrying a loaded shotgun or a loaded rifle in any vehicle on any public street, road or highway within Rap pahannock County, Virginia.

BE IT ORDAINED and enacted by the Board'of Supervisors of the County of Rappahannock, Virginia, under the authority of Section 18.2 287.1 of the Code of Virginia (1950 as amended 1977) that it is unlawful for any person to transport, possess or carry a loaded shotgun or a loaded rifle in any vehicle on any public street, road, or highway within Rappahannock County, Virginia. Any person violating the provisions of this or dinance shall be punished by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00). This or dinance shall not apply to duly authorized law-enforcement officers or military personnel in the performance of their lawful duties, nor to any person who reasonably believes that a loaded rifle or shotgun is necessary for his oersonal safety in the course of his employment or business.
