April is fund drive month for the Rappahannock Unit of the American C.ancer Society. Volunteers will be knocking on doors throughout the county seeking contributions. Be generous. This is the only time during the year that we can do something for the organization that gives us so much.
Happahannock Cancer Society President Juanda Rodgers reports that (>0 per cent of every dollar collected in the fund drive can be made available to the people of Rappahannock if its needed. The Cancer Society’s work here is not tied to percentages. If a family is stricken by the disease and there s no hospitalization insurance and no assistance from other social services, the Cancer Society can help, with bills.
