Named
The names of the judges and Master of Ceremonies for the "Miss Rappahannock" Beauty Pageant scheduled for Friday evening, April 21, at Rappahannock County Elementary School have been announced.
Among the judges will be Mrs. Sandy Canada, wife of State Senator Joseph Canada from Virginia Beach. Mrs. Canada is very active with rescue work, having done an in-depth study of rescue squads in the state of Virginia. She is a CPR instructor and a CPR crusader for the Virginia Beach area.
Also judging will be the Hon. George P. Beard Jr., of Culpeper, member of the Virginia House of Delegates from the 25th District. Besides being president of the Second National Bank in Culpeper, Mr. Beard is a charter member of the Culpeper Rescue Squad.
The third judge will be W. A. Gravely Jr., of Culpeper, president and administrator of Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club and the Culpeper Mental Health Clinic Advisory Committee.
The Hon. Raymond R. (Andy) Guest Jr., of Front Royal will serve as Master of Ceremonies. He is presently the president of the Board of Trustees of Warren Memorial Hospital and is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates—17th District.
The pageant, which is sponsored by the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad, will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $2, payable at the door.
