Brigid Cleary of Sperryville and Camp Springs, Md. is featured on the cover of the Washington Post’s television guide magazine this week. Daughter of Col. and Mrs. John Cleary who have a weekend and summer home outside Sperryville, Brigid plays Lady Anne in a production of Richard III that will be broadcast on NBC this Friday.
Brigid is a drama major in her senior year at Catholic University and is a member of the National Players at the Hartke Theater University there. Channel 4 agreed to combine with the National Players for the local production of Richard III. The National Players are a touring company that has provided over 3,500 performances in 39 states since beginning in 1949. Members have performed on network TV, off-Broadway, at the White House and in 10 overseas tours for the Defense Department.
