Liz Freeman is the new high school sports reporter for the Rappahannock News. She was selected from several RCHS students who submitted accounts of the Panthers’ first home baseball game and was chosen on the basis of her writing ability and sports knowledge.
Liz is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy J. Freeman of Flint Hill.
She is a fifteen year old freshman, active in sports and other extra-curricular interests. She was a guard on the junior varsity girls basketball team this year and currently is a member of the track team, competing in the long jump and the 880 yard run.
English teacher Roger Flinchum organized the News’s talent hunt and he came up with five prospects for sports reporter. The choice wasn’t easy. Judith Bloomer, Greg Turner, Marion Eastham and Brian Fitzek also submitted excellent stories on the baseball game
