Citizens
Council
Interested senior citizens are invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday, April 25, at 8 p.m. in the courthouse to discuss the formation of a Rappahannock Council of Senior Citizens. Once organized, the group can become an affiliate of the National Council of Senior Citizens.
A number of local senior citizens have indicated their desire to organize such a council so that they may participate in the May 6 meeting in Richmond to form a Virginia State Council. In mid June, the National Council of Senior Citizens will hold its 14th annual convention in Washington,
Truman J. Keesey, a member of the national senior’s organization, will be available at the April 26 courthouse meeting to answer questions.
Car Wash
The Senior class of Rappahannock County High School will be sponsoring a car wash on Saturday, April 22, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the high school.
All proceeds will go towards the Senior class trip.
