Johnston

Services for T. Morgan Johnston, 68, of Sperryville were held Jan. 2 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, conducted by the Rev. Jennings Hobson. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Washington with the Masonic rites by Washington Masonic Lodge 78, AF & AM. G

Mr. Johnston died Sunday, Dec. 31, 1978 in Winchester Memorial Hospital.

He was born at Sunset Lodge, Cedarville, the son of the late Bradley Tyler and Maude Keith Johnston.

He was a member of the Front Royal Presbyterian Church, Washington Masonic Lodge 78, AF & AM and the Rappahannock County Board of Elections. He was named Outstanding Mason of the Fourth Masonic District in 1978.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Tanner Johnston of Sperryville; two daughters, Kaye E. Reams of Winchester and Carolyn Meade of Charlottesville; one brother, George Tyler Johnston of Washington, D.C. five sisters, Miss Roberta JohnstonofWashington.D.C., Mrs. Dorothy Bowers of Rockville, Md., Mrs. Virginia McCarty of Front Royal, Mrs. Beatrice Knak of Hopewell and Mrs. Frances Bupp of Rio Rancho, N. M.; and one grandson.

Pallbearers were Clabert Smoot, Thomas Williams, Lt. Col. Jack Carney, William G. Eastham, T. L. Eastham and Dr. A1 T. Callahan.

Burke

Reggie Smith Burke of Boston died Tuesday, January 2, 1979, at Mountain View Nursing Home at Aroda. A native of Boston, she was the daughter of Lafayette Smith and Regina Burke. Her husband was Richard Burke. Mrs. Burke, 94, was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church at Boston.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Vera Smith of Culpeper, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services wyi be held at 2:30 p;m. on Thursday, January 4, at Geest Funeral Home Chapel
