Later, during the reading of the monthly accounts, the Supervisors decided to withhold payment of the December bill from Lantz Construction Company, contractors on the new clerk’s office, until defects are corrected.
In other action, the Supervisors:
—agreed to reject a bid \from Lantz Construction Company to build a new incinerator for the court house complex. The old incinerator will be used until Supervisor Chairman E. P. Luke finds a local person to build a new one for a lower price than that quoted by Lantz.
—requested Supervisor Clarence Baldwin, absent from Thursday's meeting to nominate a representative from Hampton District to serve on the county Water and Sewer Authority.
—authorized Supervisor Eastham to have signs iqade listing county trash regulations that will be posted at dumpster sites.
—unanimously reelected E. P. Luke, also absent from Thursday’s meeting, as chairman for the coming year and re-elected Dick Latham vice-chairman for the Rappahannock Supervisors.
