The fall meeting of the Sue Slaughter Group of the Shiloh Association Woman’s Missionary Union will be held at the Chester Gap Baptist Church on Thursday, lOctober 11. at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be Dr. Alma Hunt, formerly Executive Secretary of Woman’s Missionary Union, Auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention, for 27 years.
Dr. Hunt is now serving as a consultant in women's work with the Foreign Mission Board. She has visited 84 of he countries where Baptists have mission work and is a very interesting and enthusiastic speaker. You will want to take advantage of this rare opportunity to hear a first-hand report on happenings in foreign mission fields. All are urged to attend.
If unable to attend this meeting, you might go to her Dr.Hunt when she speaks to the Leonard Wiley Group on Friday. October 12. at Ml. Carmel Baptist Church, or the Margie Shumate Group. October 13, at Alum Spring Baptist Church. Each of these meetings begins at 10:30 a.m. and is followed by luncheon served by the host churches. Autographed copies of Dr. Hunt's book, "History of Woman's Missionary Union", will be available for sale at $3.25 each.
